What is an Experience Area?
The SMART Jewelry Show will have five areas located right on the show floor where short, concise, intimate and interactive educational sessions will take place each day during the show. These areas will hold between 30 and 40 people and will be running at different times throughout the day to ensure you have plenty of opportunity to both shop and learn.
We call these five areas “Experience Areas” and here is a brief overview of what each has to offer:
1) Peer to Peer Experience Area
Sit down with your business peers in sessions that prompt you to discuss the challenges and concerns facing today's retail jewelers. Work together, with expert supervision, on interactive projects that will give you hands-on experience in running your business better. Talk directly with manufacturers in sessions designed to determine ways that they can be better suppliers, at the same time you become a better customer.

2) Cool Stores Theater Experience

Fomatted like a talk show, present and past INSTORE Cool Store winners will share with you their secrets of success. Discussion include topics on their trials and tribulations of building or refurbishing their stores, their marketing and promotions secrets and more, much more. You are not hearing this from an expert speaker but from your peers who live and breath the same challenges you face everyday.
3) The Marketing Experience
Ever wonder how well your advertising works? In our "Marketing Experience" area, you'll have the ability to consult directly with a marketing expert for a one-on-one analysis of your marketing materials. Learn how to develop your website or even begin your own blog. Try your hand at writing your own company story in a way that convinces customers to visit you. Develop your store's own special event to drive sales and thank your customers, based on suggestions from INSTORE's popular "Calendar" section. All sessions are designed not just to offer you tips, but to give you a plan of action that you can actually start working on right at the show.

4) The Diamond Experience
This area is located in the Diamond Pavilion in the front left-hand corner of the show. Here, experts will share winning sales techniques that you can use as soon as you get back to your store. Sessions in this area will include a lot of role-playing and audience participation. If you remember your INSTORE reading, you'll know that closing just one more person per ten customers can result in as much as an 80% increase in profits. This area aims to give you the tools you need to reach that goal.

5) Bench Challenge and Experience
This "Experience" is the location for INSTORE's first "Bench Pressure Challenge". Some of the country's top bench jewelers will be competing in a series of tasks designed to determine who's the very best. In other sessions in this area, we'll be teaching retailers with strong custom-design and repair departments how to better promote your service. Our goal: to turn your bench jeweler into a "rock star." Don't miss it!
